Jason Sands is a producer and director with decades of experience in news, unscripted, and documentary television. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he began his national career at CNN and NBC News in New York before moving to Los Angeles, where he joined MTV’s The Real World as an editor. That role led to directing Laguna Beach and The Hills, two series that helped define modern reality television.
He has since produced and directed for HBO, Fox Television, MTV, Bravo, E!, VH1, and Warner Bros. Television, creating programming that spans music specials, pop culture documentaries, and hit reality formats. Now based in Minnesota, Sands partners with networks, studios, and production companies globaly to bring distinctive, engaging projects to life.
